Inauguration of activities of the Center for Asian Studies - invitation to the conference "Lower Silesia - Poland - Asia. Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow.
The Organizing Committee of the conference "Lower Silesia - Poland - Asia. Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow." has the honor to invite you to participate in the planned scientific conference combined with an economic forum, scheduled for June 30 - July 1, 2021 (we will make every effort to ensure that the conference takes place live, while adhering to all sanitary measures that will be in force at that time).
We invite researchers from all disciplines and fields of science who are engaged in issues related to Asia as a whole or to individual regions and countries of Asia to participate in the scientific conference. The invitation is primarily addressed to scholars from Wrocław, the Lower Silesian region, as well as the neighboring regions of Opole, Lubusz, and Southern Greater Poland.
The objectives of the conference are as follows: a) to present the widest possible spectrum of research on Asian topics conducted in various academic institutions, as well as by independent scholars, b) mutual acquaintance and integration of the academic community from our region, conducting research on topics related to Asia, c) inauguration of research activities within the Center for Asian Studies, which is intended to be a permanent forum for cooperation between academic, economic, political, and local government environments in all matters where scientific and expert knowledge about Asia and its individual countries is necessary.
More information about the Center for Asian Studies can be found under the tab: "Activities" --> Center for Asian Studies on the website www.iges.pl
Due to the vastness and diversity of countries on the Asian continent, apart from the plenary session, the conference will be divided into nine regional forums: Chinese Forum Korean Forum Japanese Forum Southeast Asian Forum (Singapore) Indian Forum Central Asian and Mongolian Forum Western Asian Forum Arab Countries Forum Caucasus Forum.
As registrations come in, we will also propose grouping presentations on similar topics into interregional thematic forums.
Those interested in participating in the conference can choose the following forms of presenting their scientific research:
a 20-minute lecture within one of the forums;
a poster, to be displayed in the corridors throughout the conference, without the author's presence, with the author participating during a two-hour poster session.
Applications, including the author's name, surname, affiliation (or affiliations, we also invite research teams), presentation title, preferred presentation format, a brief summary, intended for one of the regional forums, or a suggestion for creating an interregional thematic forum, should be sent to the following address: gosciwit.malinowski@uwr.edu.pl.
